There have been grand buildings at Stoke Rochford since the Roman times. The present building, situated close to the A1 in south west Lincolnshire, dates to 1840.Stoke Rochford is now a country house hotel and conference centre owned by the NUT. In early 2005 it was partially destroyed by fire. The hall has now been carefully restored to its former magnificence using Ancaster Hard White limestone.
